Documents to gather

Renewal and the grace period
The residence permit is initially issued for up to three years. Provided the business is successful and sustainable, the applicant and any dependants are supported above the subsistence level and all statutory requirements are met, the permit may be renewed for a further three years. After three years of successful activity an application may be made for permanent residence (Niederlassungserlaubnis).
