Highly skilled migrant (Kennismigrant)

Orientation year for graduates (Zoekjaar)
After the orientation year, a reduced salary threshold applies when moving on to highly skilled migrant status.
Residence permit under the Dutch-American Friendship Treaty (DAFT / Nederlands-Amerikaans Vriendschapsverdrag)
The Dutch-American Friendship Treaty. A similar preferential regime applies under the Dutch-Japanese trade treaty. The DAFT regime has no page of its own — it is described on the IND page about the self-employed person’s permit as an exception to the points system. For Russian-speaking relocators this route is available only to holders of US or Japanese citizenship.
