SMART Visa in the «Talent» category (SMART Visa T — Talent)

A visa for highly qualified specialists in science and technology working in Thailand's targeted industries. The spouse and children receive the right to stay for the same term; the spouse may work without a work permit. On the overview page boi.go.th/un/detail_smart_visa2 a threshold of 200,000 baht a month is given for category T — the discrepancy with the dedicated portal needs to be clarified with the BOI.

SMART Visa in the «Investor» category (SMART Visa I — Investor)

A visa for investors in technology companies in Thailand's targeted industries. The spouse and children receive the right to stay for the same term; the spouse may work without a work permit.

SMART Visa in the «Executive» category (SMART Visa E — Executive)

A visa for senior managers of technology companies in the targeted industries. The threshold of 200,000 baht a month for category E is also confirmed in the FAQ section at smart-visa.boi.go.th.

SMART Visa in the «Startup» category (SMART Visa S — Startup)

A visa for foreign entrepreneurs setting up a start-up in Thailand's targeted industries. According to the BOI FAQ, category S may be issued for 6 months (with one extension) and then for 1–2 years with unlimited extensions.

SMART Visa for family members (SMART Visa O — Other/Dependants)

A derivative visa for spouses and lawful children of holders of SMART Visas in categories T, I, E and S. There are 13 targeted industries giving entitlement to a SMART Visa, including automotive manufacturing, smart electronics, medical tourism, agricultural and biotechnology, robotics, aviation, digital services and renewable energy.

10-year retirement visa (Non-Immigrant Visa "O-X" Long Stay 10 years)limited

A multiple-entry visa scheme for a long stay of up to 10 years (5 years on the visa plus an extension of a further 5 years). A consular fee of 10,000 baht. The permission to stay may be cancelled if the balance in the account falls below the set threshold, if the insurance lapses or if the holder works without a permit.
