A residence permit in Armenia through business

On 1 November 2026 the reform of the Law on Foreigners takes effect (passed by parliament on 20.01.2026): the financial requirements for sole traders and companies go up, so does the state fee for temporary status (from AMD 105,000 to AMD 150,000, not refunded if refused), annual quotas appear by category — an application can be refused even when it meets every requirement, simply because the year's limit is used up — and processing takes longer. If you are planning this permit, applying now, before the reform lands, is simpler and more predictable.
