A residence permit in Armenia through business
A residence permit issued to the founder of an Armenian company or a registered sole trader. Family can be included. The permit is issued for one year with renewal, and after three years you can apply for permanent residence.
On 1 November 2026 the reform of the Law on Foreigners takes effect (passed by parliament on 20.01.2026): the financial requirements for sole traders and companies go up, annual quotas appear by category — an application can be refused even when it meets every requirement, simply because the year's limit is used up — and processing takes longer. If you are planning this permit, applying now, before the reform lands, is simpler and more predictable.
