What is checked at the border

  • A valid passport; EU and EEA citizens can use a valid national ID card.
  • Enough money for the whole stay; the law leaves the amount to a government regulation and does not state it.
  • If your passport needs a Schengen visa, it must be double- or multiple-entry, or you cannot re-enter Schengen from Andorra.
  • Tourists may not work in Andorra.

How to extend your stay

A tourist stay cannot be extended: to stay over 90 days or to work, you need a permit from Andorra's Immigration Service.

Overstay penalties

Overstaying makes your stay irregular; if you do not leave by the set deadline, you face expulsion with an entry ban of up to 2 years. The law sets no fine for tourists.
