The visa-free regime allows nationals of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union to enter Kyrgyzstan and stay in the country without obtaining a visa and without a work permit. It applies to nationals of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on the basis of international treaties within the EAEU.

Route to permanent residence

Visa-free days do not lead to permanent residence. The permanent residence permit is issued by the State Registration Service: it asks for a certificate of a permanent source of income, medical certificates, a criminal record certificate and documents on housing.

Route to citizenship

Citizenship is granted after 5 years of permanent residence. Command of the state or the official language and lawful means of subsistence are also required.
