Documents to gather

- A completed Visa Application Form
- A photograph measuring 2×2 inches attached to the form
- A travel document (passport) with a copy of the main page; valid for at least a further 6 months after the visa expires, with a free page for the visa sticker
- The consular fee — only in the form of a money order made out to the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the USA and Canada
- A prepaid envelope with the applicant's return address and a USPS, UPS or FedEx tracking number

Route to permanent residence
The study visa does not lead to permanent residence. The permanent residence permit is issued by the State Registration Service on the basis of certificates of income, health, criminal record and housing.
Route to citizenship
Citizenship is granted after 5 years of permanent residence. Command of the state or the official language and lawful means of subsistence are also required.
