The family visa does not lead to permanent residence. The permanent residence permit is issued by the State Registration Service on the basis of certificates of income, health, criminal record and housing.

Route to citizenship

Citizenship is granted after 5 years of permanent residence. For those who have been married to a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, the residence period and the language requirement do not apply.
