The category F family visa in Kyrgyzstan is intended for spouses, minor children and dependent parents who wish to stay in the country together with a family member who already holds a service, investment, work or study visa or a residence permit. The visa is issued at consular institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and does not give the right to work.

Route to permanent residence
The family visa does not lead to permanent residence. The permanent residence permit is issued by the State Registration Service on the basis of certificates of income, health, criminal record and housing.
Route to citizenship
Citizenship is granted after 5 years of permanent residence. For those who have been married to a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, the residence period and the language requirement do not apply.
