Investor founder visa in Indonesia (Bali)
An investment visa for foreign nationals intending to set up and develop their own company in Indonesia. The programme calls for substantial capital investment and provides for a long stay with automatic extension of the permission. The investor has to register the company after arriving in the country. The visa allows the holder to take part in managing the investment, to hold the office of director and to supervise production processes.

Documents to gather
All documents are supplied as originals or certified copies. Documents in a foreign language must have a notarised translation into Indonesian or English.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months
- Proof of living expenses (a bank statement for the last 3 months, a minimum of USD 2,000)
- A colour photograph 4x6 cm or as a digital copy
- A CV in English or Indonesian
- A travel plan and itinerary stating the purposes of the stay
- Proof of ownership of the company (shareholder statements that have passed an international audit)
- The company's financial statements (turnover, projects) with the auditor's seal
- A letter of undertaking to set up a company in Indonesia with the minimum capital at the required sum within 90 days
How the process runs
The process of obtaining the E28B visa consists of several stages, from preparing the documents to departing for Indonesia.

Preparing and collecting the documents
2–4 weeksCollect all the required documents, including financial statements that have passed an international audit. Make sure the passport is valid for at least 6 months. Prepare the letter of undertaking on the intention to set up a company in Indonesia.

Renewal and the grace period
The permission to stay (ITAS) is issued for 5 or 10 years and may be extended. To extend it you have to apply to the immigration service before the current permission expires. If the company remains active and the investment is retained, the extension is usually approved. The extension procedure involves a check of the company's financial position and confirmation of the investor's status.
